The Rapture / Dark Records CD Release Party Aftermath
Well it was great to see so many Goth’s and Cyber Punks having a great time and stomping to some great tunes. Was definitely an awesome night and got some good reactions to the local stuff. Sold a bunch of the comps and got to represent what awesome things Dark records is doing for the scene in general and local artists.
On a personal note, I’m glad my set was so well received. It just proves that there are plenty more people out there that are open minded to new songs you don’t hear get played into the ground every week. I got to see some good friends that I haven’t seen in a while and did really well for not practicing in so long. And all those new faces! Just awesome. Totally awesome. Not only were they down for something a little different but they had good taste. I look forward to spinning for everyone again.
Yes a lot of them stumped me with requests. I plain out just don’t have a lot of the more classic stuff I guess I more focus on new / hard and obscure. I’ll get them before the 22nd!
